The NO BOOKING NO ENTRY Policy that has its mysterious effects to those who wanted to experience the gift of nature through a very promising "Hot Spring" and a Virgin Water Fall claimed to be at 150 feet. Interesting isn't it?
And Yes of all the places I wanted to celebrate my birthday at Esoy's. It was a long travel from Cebu City to Catmon, 2 hrs more or less and though its a little bit far it's still promising, especially the Hot Spring.
EXPECTATIONS:
REALITY:
My fault is that I just typed in google, check their facebook photos without the ones I've taken, without faults, did not mention about the pools destroyed by the earthquake last 2013,so almost all the photos in ESOY is an old one, no updates of the real status. So the NO BOOKING NO ENTRY is a fallacy, if you will go there and just call their number they will inform you its okay to drop by since they don't have a lot of guest.
NOT AVAILABLE IN ESOY( anymore?)

This pool has been damaged by earthquake

The cave is still thee, eerie and out of life, unlike the photo you have here. It's now dried off, and the water is stagnant full of dried leaves. It now lost the beauty it once had.

This has been damaged by earthquake as well.
NOT COOL in ESOY:
1. Entrance fee of Php 350
- .It's expensive for what it offers.
2. NO FRONTDESK/INFORMATION
- When you arrive at ESOY, they will open the gates
for you and will ask if you called for an arrangement. I was upset we were lead to an
abandon house with damaged bamboo chairs and
with dust and garbage present all around you, no
tables no nothing just walls, and a roof.
3. HOSPITALITY ISSUE
- The employee's are quiet rude, NO FOOD AVAILABLE,
bring you're kitchen amigos, like literally, they
can't offer you anything. No water and if they do
the regular size of Nature spring water would cost you Php 25.00.
Cool in ESOY:
1. The Hot Spring

It's heaven, its rather small but its all I need, one of the true beauty of nature. It's lukewarm water, just right for everyone to enjoy, the spring itself is hot, like the usual hot that can literally cook some eggs if you get near to it, but the beauty of this spring is that the water from the cold water fall got mixed with the Hot Spring and it gives you a pleasant warm feeling.
2. The Canopy Walk
I would say this is easy pissy, for most of us I guess, the only thing why I included this is that my friend Drieza took all her courage to cross this bridge, it was fun when you know someone can get scary tied when seeing this bridge. It was laughable and memorable as well.
3. The Water Fall

I will call it the "VIRGIN WATER FALL", its mysterious and scary for 150 feet as they claim it to be. The trekking was quiet fun for me, though still my friend Dreiza is in Level 1 when it comes to this but she managed to get through everything. It's not bluish water, it's dark water but nevertheless still a true beauty. The thrill it gives to you're imagination of what may lie beneath is what you call an adventure.
I have enjoyed the Hot Spring and The water fall, For me the experience is still good. I would rate the place as 3 out of 10. I would really appreciate if they have given an update of what the place look like rather than us discovering it and just feel sad and upset why the place has not been taken care of plus entrance fee is darn expensive for what it offers.
I would really never mind travelling far as long as I get what I am expecting for. I would still recommend ESOY for those on the way to the city and can just drop by, and if you wanted to close out the world, be yourself, got drunk and just chill, away from the noise and the pollution that the city provides. I suggest you drop by and meditate. It's one of the place I now know that offers relaxation with just you and ESOY.
Please note: The some of the images in here is not mine to begin with, I just borrowed this from google images. The only part where I took an effort, (lol) is the you tube video for what's available in Esoy.
